The project HUMANTRACKS shows video sequences of hacked smartphones whose cameras and microphones have been remotely activated. microphones have been activated by remote control. HUMANTRACKS directly intervenes in the intimate and private sphere and the total loss of privacy. The smartphone as a constant companion becomes a surveillance tool. The art project HUMANTRACKS makes the invisible mass surveillance visible. HUMANTRACKS questions the meaning, the loss and the value of our privacy in the networked present.
